Maple Syrup Pie
Looking to try something new in the kitchen for dessert? Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a gourmet chef to complete this little sweet treat. All you need are some McVitie’s Digestives, maple syrup and a few basic kitchen ingredients to get started. Have a look below and be prepared to serve out seconds.

INGREDIENTS
- Blend the McVITIE’S DIGESTIVES© in a food processor until finely ground. Melt the butter in a pan and add the ground biscuits. Stir continuously until thoroughly blended.
- Pour the biscuit mixture into the pie plate and use the back of a spoon to press it down in the base and up the sides of the plate.
- Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes until set.
- Meanwhile, make the filling in a saucepan, off the heat, dissolve the cornstarch with the water. Add the maple syrup, sugar, cream and egg and whisk to combine all the ingredients.
- Bring to a gentle boil stirring constantly with your whisk for about 2 minutes then remove from heat.
- Add the butter and stir until melted.
- Fill your pie base. To set, refrigerate for about 2 hours.
